Slight decrease in the prices of wholesale trade for the second quarter of 2007 compared with the previous first quarter

The Wholesale Trade Price Index decreased by 0.24% for the second quarter of 2007 compared with the first quarter. This decrease was a result of lowering the prices of the wholesale trade of agricultural raw materials, food, beverages and tobacco by 1.36 with a relative importance of 45.73%.

The data indicate also a rise of the Index for for the second quarter of 2007 as compared with the same period of 2006 by 7.02%. This increase has resulted from the rise in the prices of Motor Vehicles and Parts Group by 2. 46% , the Agricultural Raw Materials, Food and Beverages Group by 10.96%, the Group of Personal and Non-Food Household Commodities by 2.10% and the Group of Non- Agricultural Intermediate Products, Garbage and Scrap by 7.14%.

The data also indicate an increase of the Accumulative Wholesale Trade General Index for the first half of the same period of 2006 by 8.40% which has resulted from the rise in the prices of Motor Vehicles Group and Parts by 2.61%, Agricultural Raw Materials , Food and Beverages by 13.29%, and the Group of Personal and Non-food Household Commodities Group by 2.02%, and the Group of Non- Agricultural Intermediate Products, Garbage, and Scrap by 9.51%.
