1.35% the average increase in the prices of wholesale trade for the third quarter of 2009

Data issued by the Department of Statistics indicate an increase in the average wholesale trade general price index by 1.35 % for the third quarter of 2009 as compared with the second quarter of 2009. This increase has resulted from the rise of prices of the Motor Vehicles Group and Parts by 1.57%, the Group of Agricultural Raw Materials, Food and Beverages and Tobacco by 1.01% the Group of Non-food Personal and Household Commodities by 0.1 % and the Group of Non-agricultural Intermediate Products, Garbage and Scrap by 5.03 % with a relative importance of 19.42%, 45.73%, 20.67% and 9.89% respectively.

Meanwhile, the prices of the Non- Household Machinery, Apparatus and Equipment by 1.07% with a relative importance of 4.29%.

The data also indicate a decrease in the average wholesale trade general price index for the third quarter of 2009 as compared with the same period of 2008 by 1.14%. This decrease was a result of a drop in the prices of the Motor vehicles  parts and Accessories by 0.93%, the wholesale trade of Agricultural Raw Materials, Food and Beverages by 1.08 %, the Group of Non-food Personal and Household Commodities by 3.57 % and the Non-Household Machinery, Apparatus and Equipment by 2.45 %.

While the prices of the Intermediate Products, Garbage and scrap went by 1.93.
