0.71% the average decrease in the prices of wholesale trade for the second quarter of 2009

Data issued by the Department of Statistics indicate a decrease in the average wholesale trade general price index by 0.71 % for the second quarter of 2009 as compared with the first quarter of 2009. This decrease has resulted from the falling prices of the Motor Vehicles Group and Parts by 0.5%with a relative importance of 19.42 %, the wholesale trade of Agricultural Raw Materials, Food, Beverages and Tobacco by 1.2 %, with a relative importance of 45.73 %, the Group of Non-food Personal and Household Commodities by 1.4% with a relative importance of 20.67% and the Non-Household Machinery, Apparatus and Equipment by 1.72 % with a relative importance of 4.29%. In contrast the prices of the Group of Non-agricultural Intermediate Products, Garbage and Scrap have increased by 2.78 % with a relative importance of 9.89 %.

 

The data pertaining to average wholesale trade general price index for the second quarter of 2009 has risen by 0.35 % as compared with the same period of 2008. This increase has resulted from the rise in the prices of the Motor Vehicles Group and Parts by 0.88 %, the wholesale trade of Agricultural Raw Materials, Food and Beverages by 0.57% and the Group of Non-food Personal and Household Commodities by 0.57 %. In contrast the prices of the Group of Non-agricultural Intermediate Products, Garbage and Scrap have decreased by 1.55 % and the group of Non-Household Machinery, Apparatus and Equipment by 0.43 %.
