Increase in the
prices of the Industrial Producers by
8.2% for the first eleven
months of 2007 as
compared with the same period of 2006
Data issued by the Department of Statistics indicate an increase in the General Industrial Price Index by 8.2% for the first eleven months of 2007 as compared with the same period of 2006 (where the percentage for the first ten months of 2007 was 8.1% as compared with the same period of 2006).
The increase of the price index for the first eleven months of this year has resulted from the increase in the manufacturing industries prices by 8.1% with a relative importance of 82.5%. Prices of the quarrying industries’ increased also by 13.0% and electricity by 0.7%. It is worthy to mention in this regard that the registered increase in the industrial producers’ prices for Fertilizers and Azotic Compounds at 18.1%, Food Products and Beverages at 8.1%, Phosphate at 8.7% and Potash at 20.5% has contributed by 4.6 percentage points during the first eleven months of 2007.
The data also indicate an increase in the General Industrial Price Index by 8.4% for November 2007 as compared with the same month of 2006. This has resulted from a rise in the prices of manufacturing industries by 8.5%, while prices of the quarrying industries have risen by 10.8% and electricity by 2.1%.
The General Industrial Producers’ Price Index has increased also by 1.2% in November 2007 as compared with the previous month. This has resulted from an increase in the prices of manufacturing industries by 1.7%. The prices of electricity also increased by 2.4% while prices of the quarrying industries have decreased by 3.8%.
