9.9 % the average increase in quantities of industrial production for October 2009 as compared with September 2009

The statistical data issued by the Department of Statistics indicate a decrease in the General Industrial Production Index by 1.4 % for the first ten months of 2009 as compared with the same period of 2008. This retreat resulted from a decrease in quantities of the quarrying sector by 27.3 % with a relative importance of 11.0 %, electricity production by 9.6 % with a relative importance of 6.5 %, while the manufacturing industries production quantities went up by 1.6 % with a relative importance of 82.5 %. 

         The results also indicate an increase in the General Industrial Production Index in October 2009 by 9.9 % compared with the previous month (September 2009). It was a result of an increase in the quantities produced by the manufacturing sector by 8.6 %, the production quantities of the quarrying industries by 51.8 % and Electricity by 2.4 %.

          Meanwhile, the General Industrial Production Index for October 2009 has increased by 5.4 % as compared with the same month of 2008. This was a result of an increase in the production quantities of the manufacturing sector by 8.5 %. Meanwhile, there was a decrease in the production quantities of the quarrying industries by 22.4% and electricity by 1.8 %.
